Mercury Press International is a media agency that serves editorial, nonprofit, private and commercial clients with visual storytelling; words, images, design, video and promotion.

Co-founders Nancy Black and Isaac Hernandez began their media production company, Mercury Press, in 1991 to create inspiring articles and photographs for international magazines, marrying a few years later. After more than 25 years, their work has been published in over 300 print publications in 27 countries, including National Geographic, USA Today, Men's Health, Outdoors, Glamour (Spain), ELLE (Spain) and GEO. They currently serve the Wall Street Journal, Santa Barbara VOICE and El País, Spain’s largest national newspaper.

Currently, they provide videography, photography, media and promotional services to clients including United Way, Direct Relief, Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation, Tri-Counties Regional Center, and Community Environmental Council, among many others.

Isaac Hernandez de Lipa

Isaac Hernandez practices mastery at putting people at ease in front of his camera. His beautiful images and complete photojournalistic stories have been published around the world, from Cosmopolitan, USA Today and National Geographic Traveler to ESPN and The Wall Street Journal

His moving and inspiring short films are in demand for nonprofit fundraising, and that's where he dedicates most of his focus, to contributing his experience and talent for groups that make a difference in the community where he's lived since 1984, when he came from Madrid.

Isaac's experience in film (as director of photography, producer, editor and director), theater, design and conceptual art round up his artistic vision. He's written four plays in collaboration with kids, producing and directing three of them. He holds a BA in Film from Brooks Institute, with studies in history and art at Madrid's Universidad Complutense and at Santa Barbara City College. He was born and raised in Madrid in a publishing family, and speaks fluent English and Spanish, plus Italian, French and Portuguese. “I’m an explorer, looking for beauty, not only in the obvious, but also in our human imperfection and absurdity,” says Isaac. “Photography occurs to me like meditation, a reminder to be present to the intimacy of life and to laugh at myself.”

Lucky couples appreciate his wedding work, PhotographybyIsaac.com.
